Johnson Ho, JD, MHC — Senior Therapist

  • Meet Johnson.

Johnson (he/him) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. He completed his undergraduate degree at NYU and his J.D. at the University of Michigan. Before becoming a therapist, he practiced corporate litigation and owned and operated a restaurant and catering business. From these experiences, he learned the importance of mental wellness to address burnout, stagnation, and isolation, leading him to shift his focus to therapy. Johnson has worked as a clinical intern at Insight and Action Therapy, treating primarily LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients, and Citron Hennessey Therapy, working with both individuals and couples.

Johnson’s therapeutic style focuses on creating a collaborative relationship that is affirmative and non-judgmental. He views psychotherapy as an opportunity to build self-awareness, process difficult emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and find meaning in our day-to-day experiences. His approach is grounded in the belief that every individual has the innate power to grow and heal when they open themselves to self-exploration and receive compassionate support while doing so. Johnson is dedicated to helping clients in their journey towards personal growth, by fostering a deeper sense of connection with their bodies and communities.
